I bought 2 guitars recently: a Bartlett 58 Korina Explorer and a Bartlett 59 Les Paul. Both guitars are hand made, using the same materials, processes and vintage tools as the originals. I gotta say they both sound pretty good through my Friedman BE100. I don’t, generally speaking, believe tone to be a completely subjective thing. While we all have preferences, higher quality in your preferential category will always have better tone (to you).

As with many things, “better” is subjective, ie I would say a $2MM Ferrari is infinitely better than a $20K Honda in every capacity. I truly believe your comment on, if it brings you joy, is what it’s all about.
