I have two amps that I've gotta recommend for anyone looking for great tone at a great value. First any Jet City amp is great for the money. I've got a JCA20H. While it is a simple single channel amp, it takes pedals great. Nice midrange bark and less than $300. (Also, a big plus is that Jet Citymamps are designed by Michael Soldano of Soldano amplifiers). The other amps are Marshall DSL series. I've got a DSL40C that absolutely rips. A total of 4 separate channels. (Actually it's a 2 channel amp with a clean/crunch channel and a lead 1/lead 2 channel, so it's like four separate channels. At $700 it's a whole lot of amp for the money. I was wondering if anyone else has any recommendations for a great value tube amp.

I don't think he'd want to do it because Tool as a group just never do that kind of stuff...rarely grant interviews, they've only licensed their music for one movie ever (Escape from LA). I was shocked when they granted Guitar Hero a license to use their music. Plus, I'd bet that Gibson has already approached him for a sig guitar, which if so, he must've turned down. The reason I say that is because those Silverburst LP Customs were sold in the late 70s, early 80s then discontinued because people complained that the metallic finish in the nitro affected the tone. But then after Tool blew up they reissued them (in 07 I think) and they've been a best seller since. I figure Adam Jones (along with the guys from Mastodon) are a big reason why Gibson brought em back!

An Adam Jones (Tool) signature Silverburst Les Paul Custom would be awesome. His are all aged to that puke green color, and I think they look killer. But I don't think he'd be up for it even if Gibson offered.
