Very few musicians who are extremely critical with an authentic tube-y analog sound will be able to discern a difference between this and the well-known Tube Screamer by Ibanez. The designers behind this Joyo pedal didn't have to look very far to choose the parts--just get what the TS9 has. It therefore has the same opamp (JRC4558), potentiometer, and other parts to make the sound as close to the Ibanez as possible. For a fraction of the cost, it definitely punches way above its price bracket.
