Good for loud rock music
I bought this in lieu of the RS210 because I wanted a bigger sound. Overall I am happy with it and it has served me well on stage while keeping up with loud guitars and drums. I would love to add an RS210 to it so I could get a more full range sound but you can cut the mustard with this one.
Great alternative to large rigs
I played SWR rigs for years when I grew weary of lugging them around. I wanted something small and still pack a toned punch. I heard many great things about TC's bass lineup so I took a chance on the RH450 and I was glad I did. I had to do some tweaking before I found some settings that worked for my instrument and my playing style. The amp is very clean with the ability to sizzle as well. My effects work very well with it and the built in compressor/tuner are sweet features. The amp has more than enough power to get you through the night and works with an array of cabinets.
Built a custom Jazz Bass clone
I bought all of the parts from Warmouth with the exception of the electronics and some of the hardware. The company gives complete flexibility so you can get exactly what you want. In my case I simply wanted a Jazz bass in Lake Placid Blue that wasn't a cheap import or an over inflated custom shop model. Once my bass was assembled by a local shop's luthier I got way more than what I expected! This unique Jazz bass had a tone and character all of its own and my Fender's have been collecting dust ever since! If you want a custom guitar consider Warmouth.
An Iconic tone monster
I had a 1983 4003 that had a truss rod failure and was never able to get if repaired so I parted with it. I found an awesome 1973 Rickenbacker 4001 from Chicago Music Exchange in excellent condition. It plays like a champ and it has the trademark cutting tone that was more prevalent from the Rickenbacker 4001 series in the 70s.
I've had mine for 15 years and it's as solid as a rock
Bought mine new at a Houston area Guitar Center. Mine is in Crimson Red Transparent with noiseless pickups and a three band active preamp. It is smaller than the standard size Jazz bass body which makes it more sleek in my opinion. The bass is very responsive to the touch, has a great feel, and many tones can be dialed in via the pre amp.
