I have a left handed 4 string version of this bass. Anyone who’s left handed will tell you, you’ve got 2 options. You can spend a couple hundred and get what you pay for like a Dean E09 or dean Edge or even worse like a rouge or something. Or you’re stuck buying something for the name (fender, Ibanez, Spector, modulus ($2000-$5000 for a good Spector or modulous) then you have to spend another small fortune to power the damn thing. Ampeg is just a name, Hell its not even American made anymore. The older SVT-pro (mid 90’s-mid 00’s) Hartke makes good older cabs (think XL serie) the older ones were American made and had aluminum cones. (See the first 4 megadeth albums)

It’s American made. Bi-amped, parametric and graphic E.Q. (With bypass switch) pretty rad head. Just got to run 4ohm to get any ass out of it.

They sound like complete crap. The compressor (one knob) just reduces the volume a little. It has a SS and tube pre that can be blended but they don’t sound much different. I even bought a new 12AX7 tube. Only get this if it’s less than $100 and you have a sansamp or a Darkglass D.I. Because it’s gonna sound like shit.

Cheap, mine wasn’t even 300 watts. It was 200@8ohm with only one input. Paired it with the HA3500. Fortunately, I had a sansamp and kept me from sounding like complete shit.

Probably the only true “distortion” bass pedal that will NOT drop any of your low end. It’s rather simple (3 knobs and a toggle switch for bass boost, normal, and fat I think) but this thing maxed out will let you palm mute, and it’s less than $70, and again made in America!!!

Ahhh, my favorite pedal ever owned. The single channel and the 3 channel are the same price ($209.99) but with the 3 channel you basically get 3 Sanamps in one. Not to mention it will make any garbage/budget rig sound like one 10 times what it costs (Behringer, Hartke, and those goddamn fender rumbles can’t sound good without one of these or a Darkglass DI pedal. However, if you have a good amp (G-K RB, SVT pro (American made models), some Orange, depends on your taste, Mesa, and SWR like the X series, not the “working man” models) you don’t really need one of these unless you mist want to run it to the main board for the FOH mix. But you have an Ampeg SVT-2 pro with an 810E and decide to use a DI and not mic it, I’m just gonna say you probably got more money than not only brains, but talent as well. Equipment and ability are different words with way different meanings.
