Fender's masterpiece
As far as Fenders are concerned, nothing beats the Jazzmaster's versatility and warm, bell-like tone.
Clean, loud, great low end
Mine is a 1973 Concert Lead (red knob). Warm and dark, great low end, takes pedals extremely well. Very dependable despite age.
Among the most versatile basses I have played/owned
Unmatched playability and versatility. One caveat: tone is bright and modern; coaxing a warm vintage tone out of it can be difficult.
