Upgragded to Pro version
Compared to Ableton and FL Studio demos I tried, I found Studio One 4 to work better for me. I upgraded to the Pro version using Splice rent-to-own so I can take advantage of the additional features. Recommend this to any serious hobbyist (like me) or beginner.

Useful and Inspirational Site
Soundcloud was recommended in a lot of articles I read regarding video game audio. I follow a couple of artists and have downloaded some of their songs for use in my game audio design. As I make my own music I'll be posting there as well for others to use and enjoy.

Just Starting Out
Can't say much as I am just getting started using it. I read reviews and tried their samples/demos and was very pleased with them. So I figured I'd sign up and see how it fits into my computer music learning and creation.

Great for Beginners
When I started learning about audio, I read several articles on various DAWs. I downloaded and played around with all the popular ones mentioned. However, as a newbie I found them not easy to work with. I came across Reaper and tried it out. It was wonderful! The interface was straight-forward, it was very customizable, and there were a lot of tutorials offered on the site to help me learn. Their pricing was also very attractive. For anyone new to making computer music, I'd highly recommend Reaper to start. If you find your aspirations moving to a more professional environment, then move to another DAW.

A Beginner's delight for a midi controller
Not having much space yet wanting a keyboard/controller, the Akai MPK mini fit the bill. The keyboard has a nice response, and the pads/knobs are programmable. It works well with my DAW and any beginner would be pleased to start with this.

Good studio monitors for a beginner
Working full-time overseas I don't have a lot of space in my room. The Presonus Eris 4.5 produces a very good sound, fits nicely into the space I have, and affordable for a beginner like me. I'm sure I will upgrade in the future to something of better quality if my music creation takes me there.

Nice for a beginner
As a newbie to computer music creation, I wanted to get an audio interface that would meet my beginner needs yet be affordable. The Presonus Audiobox USB96 fit the bill and has performed great since I obtained it. Hightly recommend for a beginner.

Great for a beginner budget
I bought this via Amazon as I wanted decent headphones, but didn't want to spend a lot. I've been very pleased with them. I use them for listening and get a very nice response. I also use for mixing and haven't had any issues either. I'm definitely not a pro, but a newbie and anyone in my same boat would be well pleased with these.
