Bedrock Amplification Bedrock 1200 Series Amp Head
In an interview on TVCASUALTY.COM, John Christ recalls recording the first Danzig album using various amplifiers, with the Bedrock 1200 Series Amp Head being the primary choice until it failed. The early Bedrock models, known for their powerful sound due to high plate voltages and a hot bias, were also notoriously unreliable and prone to tube failure. Interestingly, attempts to replicate Danzig's iconic "Mother" using a later Bedrock 1000 model have yielded remarkably similar results, highlighting the distinctive sound of these amplifiers.
