Here we have the rarest of the rare! Not only is this one of the rarest ESP Custom Shop guitars on the planet (having the Gibson Firebird body, Jackson lawsuit headstock & custom artwork) but this was OWNED AND PLAYED BY HEAVY METAL LEGENDS IRON MAIDEN! With over 100 MILLION records sold and 1 BILLION plays on YouTube, Iron Maiden are Rock and Roll Royalty. The guitar is in a rare ESP factory tour fitted flight case that still has the Rock-It Cargo waybill from JFK New York to London Heathrow as well as an earlier waybill from Columbus Ohio when it toured with Iron Maiden. You can google the company name to see that to this day the company handles the logistics for Iron Maiden. The dates correlate with USA tour dates for Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album when guitarist Dave Murray was extensively playing ESP guitars. After this time, the guitar went to Iron Maiden's Tour Manager (and guitar tech) Bill Barclay who eventually brought the guitar to world famous London guitar dealers Vintage And Rare Guitars who sold it to the Charvel/Jackson museum collection in Switzerland where it was the only non-Charvel/Jackson guitar! This is a collection that includes the very first Jackson and Charvel serial number guitars...that should tell you how special this guitar is. It has been in that collection for the past 21 years until coming into our possession! Not only was Bill Barclay the Tour Manager, Production Manager & Guitar Tech for Iron Maiden, but he performed the same duties for Motley Crue, Scorpions, Anthrax, Joe Satriani, Foreigner, Living Colour and more!
