My favorite guitars during Last Light were my Gibson ES-335 and my Epiphone Casino,” Pond says. “Hollow bodies feel like an extension of acoustic guitars— like I’m evolving into loudness. Those particular guitars felt right for most of the songs. From the sound down to the way they played—it’s an incredible feeling for my hands to be that comfortable in the studio.”
