Effects Pedals used by Buzz Osborne (aka King Buzzo) on A Senile Animal

Fuzz Effects Pedals

DOD FX33 Buzz Box

Avg price: $320.00

In an interview, Buzz mentions that he used the Buzz Box on Melvins albums Prick and Stoner Witch. He also used it live in 1994 and on a Senile Animal

Distortion Effects Pedals

Pro Co Turbo RAT

Avg price: $146.69

at around 6:36-6:43, you can make out the turbo rat on the floor with his rig. I have a couple photos as well. He started mixing the turbo rat and the bass overdrive around the Senile Animal era. I can absolutely guarantee this submission is true.

Delay Effects Pedals

Ibanez CD-10 Delay Champ

Avg price: $119.99

At approximately 6:36-6:43 in the YouTube video titled "The Melvins - In Studio Recording" the you can make out the delay champ on buzz's board. This one was hard for me to identify at first but I confirmed it through additional photos and frequent sightings in Toshi Kasai's studio, supporting the claim that Buzz Osborne used the Ibanez CD-10 Delay Champ during the recording of "A Senile Animal."

Amplifiers used by Buzz Osborne (aka King Buzzo) on A Senile Animal

Combo Guitar Amplifiers

1958 Gretsch 6161

Avg price: $977.00

Buzz has used a Gretsch 6161 amp from 1959 on many Melvin's records, I can confirm A senile Animal, nude with boots, and hostile ambient takeover. Note this does NOT mean this was his main amp on any of these recordings.

Effects Pedals used by Jared Warren on A Senile Animal

Multi Effects Pedals

Korg ToneWorks AX1G

This was Jared’s main effects unit for touring and recording in the early Melvins/BB days. He used this while tracking a senile animal specifically (2006)
