In a YouTube video by George "G1" Lever titled "The Best Microphones Ever - Probably," it is confirmed that the Slate Digital ML-1 microphone was used to record vocals for all tracks on Sleep Token's album "Sundowning." The Slate ML-1 is a large condenser cardioid microphone designed to work with the Slate Virtual Microphone System (VMS), allowing users to emulate well-known microphones such as the U47 and C800 through convolution. This setup resulted in a dark, vintage, and rich low-end sibilant vocal tone that complements the album's sound.
