Tom can be seen playing his American Deluxe Jazz Bass at 0:13 in this video of The Front Bottoms playing their single "Help" off their newest album Back on Top. It can be identified by the black block inlays found on the maple neck that is a characteristic of Fender's Deluxe bass. Also, the American Deluxe Jazz bass has four knobs rather than the standard three knobs in order to incorporate the active preamp and EQ. The input jack on there american Deluxe basses are on the side of the body rather than on the control plate like standard models.
