Chris Cross, bassist of Ultravox, is known for his use of various bass guitars throughout his career. Cross's distinctive grey Ibanez RoadStar, from the early 1980s, was prominently featured in many Ultravox albums and was his primary instrument during the first leg of the 'Return to Eden' Tour in 2009. On subsequent tours, including 'Return to Eden' in 2010 and 'Brilliant' in 2012, he played a Rickenbacker 4003 Fireglo finish bass and a black Fender Telecaster Bass as a backup. According to the Ultravox Forum, Cross also utilized a Spector Euro 4LX bass in 2006.
