Great Bass Preamp

Being a big fan of the Bass Driver pedal, I knew I wanted to get the rackmount version of it to use in my live rig and see how it worked out. I must confess: I love this thing! It’s basically everything that the regular BD has but with more options for tonal variety. It’s great to use for live shows and for in-studio work as well. It brings a lot more character to my sound with that tube-like warmth while I’m doing any kind of recording. It’s all around a great addition to any bass rig, and I encourage those who haven’t already to check it out yourself and see how it works for you!

Incredible Bass Head!

Possibly one of the best solid-state bass amp heads I’ve ever used. It’s a great amp to have for getting a classic rock bass tone that will stand out in recordings or in live settings. It’s a workhorse amp but it’s surprisingly lightweight, so it won’t break your back like an SVT would. It also works extremely well with pedals or with any kind of effects you may want to use for your sound. So if you’re looking for a quality bass head that is light and very reliable, I’d say give the 800RB a try.

One of the Greatest!

What else can be said about the Music Man Stingray that hasn’t already been said? Leo Fender really knocked it out of the park when he made this now iconic instrument. It is a truly fantastic bass with a sound that is immediately recognizable and also very versatile (unlike what most people will tell you). No matter what genre you’re playing, you can’t go wrong with a Stingray. There’s nothing else quite like it.

Classic and Versatile Instrument

After a year of playing with my 1975 model Grabber, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is truly one of the most unique basses ever made. Though it was made to be one of the Gibson’s cheaper bass models back in the ‘70’s-‘80’s, the Grabber bass is a powerful instrument that could be use in many different music styles for nearly any occasion. It’s like a much louder P-Bass, but with a lot more punch and mids to it. This bass is perfect for rock music especially, because it has this growl to it when you’re playing hard that is absolutely unbelievable. And even if you don’t play heavier music, this bass is still perfect to use to get a fat, beefy sound that cuts through a mix with ease. The sliding pickup is also a neat feature, and the differences in tone you get depending on where you place the pickup is very handy for changing your sound up (I prefer to place it in the middle to get the best of both the neck and bridge tones). All in all, this is a great bass to have whether you’re playing in the studio, at a live gig, an acoustic set, a church service, etc. I’d recommend it to anyone!
