Orgasmic.
I have suffered the high gain hiss/hum since purchasing my amp(s) and have attempted almost every combination of noise gates in all kinds or positions to no avail.
This. The ISP Decimator II G-String is the most orgasmic pedal I own. I actually own two of these bad boys. If I was held at gunpoint at a guitar tone contest and that I can only have one pedal it would be this, and I would have to fine tune that amp like a mad scientist.

Powerful, Clear, Unparalleled.
As a metal guitarist looking for my first gig-worthy amp I was mindful not to sound like everyone else, which meant avoiding Marshall and modern USA high gain amps. Three of my most influential guitarists (Jim Root, Brent Hinds and Brian Welch) all use Orange amps, which got me looking.
I settled on the Rockerverb 50 Mk II and I'm glad that I did. The clean channel on this amp is crystal clear rivaled only by that of a Fender. It's rich and fat sounding, with tone all over the spectrum; huge bottom end, bright mids and soaring highs. The dirty channel is amazing. As you turn up the gain you start at a very clean bluesy tone. As you head towards 3 you're entering blues lead territory. Towards 5 we're now in typical garage rockband, think ACDC. Turning the gain to 6-7 you're starting to get that typical thrash metal tone, early days Metallica. From here the amp gets a bit out of hand and unless you have a good noise gate(s) you're going to have a bad time. The Rockerverbs true tone has only been used by one band (that I know of) which is Slipknot. To dial in a Jim Root Slipknot tone, crank the gain to 9-10 and adjust volume to taste. Obviously the louder the better.
The only 'Con' this amp has is it's typical British dirty channel noise - that combination of high gain hissing and harmonic hum that seems relentless. But luckily for you I have found the answer! applause The ISP Decimator II G-String. This pedal has a guitar IN/OUT to sense your line input, as well as a separate circuit for the amps effects loop. When it gates the guitar line, it also gates the effects loop, removing the pre-amp hiss/hum that affects us all. Unfortunately, the only thing that the Decimator can't mute is the girlfriend, but that's what the volume knob is for.
