Chatmonchy's sound is marked by its bright, melodic guitar work combined with an energetic yet polished rhythm section. Eriko Hashimoto's guitar tones often blended the crunchy bite of distortion with a smooth overdrive, achieved using pedals like the Marshall The Guv'nor and Ibanez TS10 Tube Screamer Classic. The band's layered, harmonious vocals and driving bass lines create an uplifting atmosphere, while amplifiers such as the Vox AC15 deliver a vintage warmth that complements their vibrant sound.
