About

Atlanta Rhythm Section is a Southern rock band originating from Doraville, Georgia, that seamlessly blends elements of rock, pop, blues rock, and country rock. Formed in 1970, the group's origins trace back to the remnants of two bands—The Candymen and The Classics Four—coming together as the house band for Studio One. Notable members have included Rodney Justo (vocals), Barry Bailey (guitar), Paul Goddard (bass), Dean Daughtry (keyboards), and Robert Nix (drums). With their roots in Southern rock, they have carved out a niche with a sound often compared to Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, achieving commercial success in the late '70s with hits like "So Into You" and "Imaginary Lover."
