Bad Livers is an American band hailing from Austin, Texas, known for their eclectic blend of bluegrass, Americana, folk punk, alt country, and newgrass. Formed in 1990, the group originally consisted of Danny Barnes (banjo, guitar, resonator guitar), Mark Rubin (bass, tuba), and Ralph White (fiddle, Cajun and Mexican accordion). Later, Bob Grant (mandolin, guitar, tenor banjo) joined the lineup, replacing White. The band is celebrated for their ability to traverse a wide array of musical styles, making them one of the most diverse acts to emerge from the vibrant Austin music scene.
