With tracks like "Nil By Mouth" and "Phlex" capturing widespread attention, Blindspott cemented their place as one of New Zealand’s most successful rock/metal exports.
How to Sound Like Blindspott
Blindspott’s sonic character is defined by aggressive, high-energy riffs combined with rhythmic, rap-infused vocals. Their music is characterized by crunchy, distorted guitar tones that are often achieved using high-gain amplifiers and heavy compression to deliver that raw, punchy sound typical of nu metal. The dynamic interplay between hard-hitting drum patterns and syncopated bass lines creates a driving force throughout their tracks. To emulate their sound, musicians should focus on blending powerful vocal delivery with tight, percussive elements and incorporating effects like chorus and phaser to add depth and texture to the guitar lines. This combination of elements results in a sound that is both aggressive and rhythmically compelling, a hallmark of Blindspott's enduring appeal.
