Brainticket is an avant-garde musical group known for their pioneering contributions to the genres of Progressive rock, Space rock, Psychedelic rock, Acid rock, and Krautrock. The band was originally formed in 1968 and is comprised of an eclectic mix of Swiss, German, and Italian musicians. The band's most notable lineup features Joel Vandroogenbroeck (organ, flute), Ron Bryer (guitar), Werni Frohlich (bass), Cosimo Lampis (drums), Wolfgang Paap (tabla), Dawn Muir (vocals), and Hellmuth Kolbe (potentiometers, generators, and sound effects). Known for their experimental approach, Brainticket released a series of influential albums in the early 1970s, including Cottonwoodhill, Psychonaut, and Celestial Ocean, before going through several hiatuses and lineup changes.
