Burning Brides is a stoner rock band originating from Philadelphia, formed in 1999 by Dimitri Coats (vocals, guitar) and Melanie Campbell (bass). The duo, both of whom left Juilliard to pursue music, initially teamed up with drummer Mike Ambs to create a potent mix of heavy, gritty rock. Over time, the group saw some lineup changes, with Pete Beeman stepping in on drums. Known for their relentless touring and energetic live shows, Burning Brides have carved out a niche within the rock scene, drawing inspiration from garage rock and heavy metal influences.

Burning Brides' sound is characterized by its aggressive and raw edge, blending heavy riffs with a sense of melodic chaos. The band leans into a distorted and fuzzy guitar tone, often achieved through the use of a Univox Hi-Flier paired with a Crowther Hot Cake and an Electro-Harmonix Sovtek "Green Russian" Big Muff Pi V7C for that saturated fuzz sound. Their sonic palette is further enriched by the powerful drive of a Hiwatt DR504 Custom 50 Head, which provides the necessary punch to complement their driving bass lines and dynamic drumming.
