Calle 13 is a trailblazing musical group from Puerto Rico, known for their dynamic fusion of alternative hip-hop, reggaeton, and Latin alternative sounds. Formed by step-brothers Residente (René Pérez Joglar; lead singer, lyricist) and Visitante (Eduardo José Cabra Martínez; multi-instrumentalist, vocals, producer), along with their sister iLe (Ileana Cabra Joglar aka PG-13; vocals), the group has pushed the boundaries of Latin music with their socially conscious lyrics and eclectic musical influences. Their work incorporates elements of dembow, EDM, jazz, bossa nova, samba, and salsa, creating a rich tapestry of sound that has earned them numerous accolades, including multiple Latin Grammy Awards.
