Nice
Honestly I have never been attracted or trapped by effects like: Tremolo / Vibrato its function is a bit useless when you use something like a FloydRose system, at least that's what I feel for a long time ... but my experimental soul led me to try some stompbox of this kind, and well, the Electro-Harmonix Pulsar Stereo Tremolo achieves a quite peculiar effect: the first thing I noticed was that it hardly modifies the tone of my instrument, the second thing has been that these knobs have a very wide modulation range, the third thing is that definitely this kind of magic it doesn't work well for shreed. I notice lacking sharpness when I start to play faster and then it start to feels as if some sounds are stacked held between the previous and the last note played. Unclear because the faster tempo of the original signal clutches with the unmatched tempo of the Pulsar, maybe in an unwanted way. I think adding one expresion pedal can solve this but this option its not included, so we have to make this modification by our own. However... for secondary melodies, ostinatos, or fill-in riffs (in stereo mode) this Pulsar Stereo Tremolo is hard to beat. Its value and advantage lies in this of the stereo function. In short, the Electro-Harmonix Pulsar Stereo Tremolo provides a clear, enveloping and organic sound.
Really nice, the rate knob is a bit too sensitive
I've been owning this pedal for years and I think it's great, even if I don't use a lot this kind of effect. Engaging it with depth at minimum you really can't hear any difference, and also when you use it in a more dramatic way it respects your tone, so I'd say it's definitely a transparent pedal. Great also if you use it in stereo mode with a electric piano! Still there's a flaw IMO: the rate knob is too sensitive... if I want to use it and be roughly "in sync" with the bands' rhythm, for most of the songs I have to set the rate knob somewhere between 7 and 9 o'clock. This means that the tiniest movement of the knob affects the rate a lot, and that's quite annoying for this kind of effect.

The king of tremolos
With this pedal you can do stereo, strange tremolo or even ring modulation. But more importantly, you can do that magical dreamy shimmering tremolo in the triangle waveform setting, that no other pedal or digital plugin can replicate (I tried). For example, triangle setting in Boss TR-2 is different, more mechanical. Also, even with the maxed setting Boss tremolo can't reach the depth of Pulsar's modulation.
Even though this is my favorite tremolo, it’s not without its flaws.
I’m not a big fan of the depth knob design, where you hit maximum depth at around 1 o’clock, and past that point, the tremolo goes into the signature EHX weird mode. I mean, I do like weird sounds, but it would be a lot more convenient if maximum depth was at the very end of the knob’s range.
There’s also another annoying drawback. I bought the second Pulsar, and both behave strangely. When I hit the strings hard and with a strong attack, in some settings sound artifacts appear.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Depth 1 o'clock, Shape 12, Rate 9-9.5, Triangle shape

Nice tremolo
The only thing that would make it better would be expression pedal control.

A good and cheap trem
I bought it before the repeater it do the job for choppy trem stuf... I play with the vox or fender amps trem if I want another flavor...
Clasic Vibrato
Amezing pedal, like everything that i have, this stuff it's pretty versatil. The controls are very sensitive, and it has 2 beautiful modes. Sounds like a real tremolo, not like the other pedals 1000/10
