About
D12, also known as the Dirty Dozen, is a prominent American hip hop group renowned for their gritty, hardcore sound and provocative lyrics. Originating from Detroit, Michigan, the group was formed in the late 1990s and consisted of six core members: Eminem (vocals), Swifty McVay (vocals), Kuniva (vocals), Proof (vocals), Mr. Porter (vocals, production), and Bizarre (vocals). Despite the name suggesting twelve members, the group settled on six, each adopting an alter ego to fulfill the concept of a "dozen." Their music is a fusion of hip hop and hardcore hip hop, characterized by raw, unapologetic storytelling and complex lyrical interplay.
