About
Delorean is an indietronica band rooted in the vibrant music scene of Barcelona, Spain. Initially formed in 2000 in Zarautz, Basque Country, the group consists of Ekhi Lopetegi (vocals, bass), Guillermo Astrain (guitar), Unai Lazcano (keyboards), and Igor Escudeo (drums). Delorean's music is a fusion of indie pop, electronic dance music, and Balearic house, creating a sound that resonates with both indie and electronic music enthusiasts. They gained international recognition with the release of the Ayrton Senna EP, which showcased their ability to blend catchy melodies with danceable beats.
How to Sound Like Delorean
Delorean's sound is characterized by uplifting, sun-drenched synth textures and pulsating rhythms that create an energetic yet laid-back vibe. To emulate their style, musicians should focus on crafting lush, reverb-heavy synths and incorporating tight, rhythmic bass lines that propel the songs forward. The use of crisp, clean guitar tones processed through effects like chorus and delay adds a shimmering layer to their compositions. Their music often features dynamic percussion, with electronic and acoustic drum elements woven together to maintain a lively, engaging beat. The combination of these elements results in a warm, atmospheric soundscape that captures the essence of Balearic influences, providing a perfect backdrop for both dance floors and introspective listening sessions.
