Drab Majesty is a Los Angeles-based synthpop and post-punk duo known for their ethereal soundscapes and androgynous visual presentation. Formed by Andrew Clinco, who performs under the alter ego Deb DeMure (vocals, guitar), the group expanded with the addition of Alex Nicolaou, also known as Mona D (synths, vocals). Their music blends elements of gothic rock, darkwave, and cold wave, drawing influences from iconic '80s new wave and post-punk acts. Drab Majesty's evocative themes and atmospheric compositions have earned them a devoted following within the dark post-punk scene.

Drab Majesty's sonic character is defined by lush, reverberant guitar tones and haunting synth melodies, creating a dreamy yet melancholic atmosphere. The use of a Yamaha Pacifica 112J and Fender Duo-Sonic Electric Guitar delivers a jangly, shimmering quality that is enhanced by the modulation effects of the Boss DC-2 Dimension C and Boss CE-2 Chorus. Synth elements, crafted with gear like the Dave Smith Instruments Prophet Rev2 Desktop, add layers of depth and texture, contributing to their otherworldly vibe.
