About
Ellegarden is a Japanese rock powerhouse known for their energetic blend of alternative rock, pop punk, and melodic hardcore. Formed in late 1998, the band hails from Japan and features Takeshi Hosomi (vocals, guitar), Shinichi Ubukata (guitar), Yuichi Takada (bass), and Hirotaka Takahashi (drums). Their music often incorporates English lyrics, inspired by Hosomi's time living in California, which infuses a Western punk rock influence reminiscent of bands like blink-182 and Sum 41. Ellegarden's ability to blend catchy melodies with a driving rock edge has earned them a massive following both in Japan and internationally.
