About
Eternal is a British girl group rooted in the vibrant sounds of Europop, new jack swing, and dance pop. Originating in 1992, the band was formed by sisters Easther Bennett (vocals) and Vernie Bennett (vocals), who were later joined by Louise Nurding (vocals), now known as Louise Redknapp, and Kelle Bryan (vocals). Their debut album, Always and Forever, catapulted them to international fame, thanks to hits like "Stay" and "Power of a Woman". Despite lineup changes, with Louise departing for a solo career, Eternal continued to achieve success, notably with their chart-topping duet "I Wanna Be The Only One" featuring Bebe Winans. The group has sold over 10 million records worldwide, marking their place in pop history.
How to Sound Like Eternal
Eternal's sound is characterized by its polished, upbeat, and melodic nature, seamlessly blending catchy pop hooks with the rhythmic grooves of new jack swing. Their music often features lush vocal harmonies supported by vibrant, synth-driven backdrops that exude a sense of buoyant energy. To emulate Eternal's sound, focus on capturing the clean yet dynamic vocal arrangements and the pulsating, dance-friendly beats that define their tracks. Incorporating digital synths for their bright and lively textures, alongside gated reverb effects on drums, can help replicate the expansive and fresh production style that Eternal is known for.
