About
Grip Inc. is an influential metal band formed in the mid-1990s, known for their intense blend of thrash, speed, and groove metal. The group was founded by former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, who sought to explore new creative avenues beyond his work with one of metal's most iconic acts. Joining him were Gus Chambers (vocals), whose powerful delivery added a dynamic edge to the band's sound, Waldemar Sorychta (guitar/producer), whose intricate riffs and production skills shaped their sonic identity, and bassists Jason Viebrooks and later Stuart Caruthers, who provided the rhythmic backbone. Grip Inc. debuted with Power of Inner Strength in 1995, showcasing a relentless energy that cemented their place in the metal scene.
