About
Haysi Fantayzee was a British pop group formed in the early 1980s, known for their vibrant and eclectic style. The band was led by Paul Caplin, who handled the arrangements and production while playing instruments. The group featured Jeremiah Healy and Kate Garner as the charismatic vocal duo, whose distinctive fashion sense became as notable as their music. Their lineup also included Alfie Agius on bass, with contributions from session musicians like violinist Bobby Valentino, saxophonist Simon Henry, and guitarist Kevin Byrd. Haysi Fantayzee achieved considerable attention with their debut single "John Wayne Is Big Leggy," and released their only full-length album, Battle Hymns for Children Singing, in 1983 before disbanding.
