Inspiral Carpets is a notable English rock band that emerged from the vibrant Madchester scene in the late 1980s. Hailing from Oldham, Greater Manchester, the group was founded by Graham Lambert (guitar) and Stephen Holt (vocals), with the lineup solidifying to include Clint Boon (Farfisa organ, keyboards), Craig Gill (drums), and Martyn Walsh (bass). Their music is a distinctive blend of rock, Britpop, and indie, with a psychedelic edge, characterized by the prominent use of the Farfisa organ.
