About
Jamtown is a Southern California supergroup known for its fusion of neo-blues, folk, and laid-back acoustic vibes. Comprised of G. Love (vocals, guitar), Donavon Frankenreiter (vocals, guitar), and Cisco Adler (vocals), the trio blends their diverse musical backgrounds to create a sound rich in harmonies and mellow rhythms. Drawing inspiration from classic acts like Crosby, Stills & Nash, Jamtown's music evokes the relaxed, sun-soaked spirit of the West Coast. Their collaboration, born from the friendship and mutual respect of its members, culminated in a five-song EP that captures their collective artistry and camaraderie.
How to Sound Like Jamtown
Jamtown's sound is characterized by breezy acoustic textures and harmonious vocals that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The use of steel-string acoustic guitars, such as the Martin D-28 Authentic 1941 favored by Frankenreiter, lends an earthy resonance to their compositions. This is complemented by the organic, natural tone achieved through the L.R. Baggs Venue DI Acoustic Preamp, which enhances the clarity and depth of their acoustic performances. G. Love's vocal delivery, supported by the robust wireless capabilities of the Shure U2/Beta 87A, adds a layer of soulful expression, making Jamtown's music feel like a spontaneous jam session on a beach at sunset.
