Japandroids is a Canadian rock duo known for their raw energy and explosive soundscapes, blending elements of post-hardcore, indie rock, garage rock, noise pop, and noise rock. Hailing from Vancouver, the band was formed in 2006 by Brian King (guitar, vocals) and David Prowse (drums, vocals). Drawing inspiration from the likes of Wolf Parade and Constantines, Japandroids have carved out a niche with their high-octane performances and anthemic tracks. Their music is characterized by a relentless drive and a DIY ethos, capturing the spirit of early punk and indie rock with a modern twist.
