Liturgy is an avant-garde black metal band originating from Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 2005 by Haela Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix, the project evolved from a solo endeavor into a dynamic quartet featuring Mario Miron (guitar), Tia Vincent-Clark (bass), and Leo Didkovsky (drums). Known for their unique blend of experimental black metal, post-doom, and elements of art music, Liturgy challenges conventional genre boundaries. Their music is a fusion of intense live energy, compositional complexity, and often, philosophical underpinnings. The group's 2011 album Aesthethica introduced Scandinavian black metal into the realm of experimental art rock, while subsequent releases have further expanded their sonic palette, integrating influences from IDM and trap.

Liturgy's sound is characterized by its aggressive yet intricate textures, melding the raw intensity of black metal with avant-garde experimentation.
