Luminous Orange is a Japanese musical project primarily led by Takeuchi Rie, hailing from Yokohama. Known for its dynamic and evolving lineup, the project has seen contributions from over 30 members, including notable musicians like Nakau Kentarou and Inazawa Ahito from Number Girl, and Ian Masters of the Pale Saints. Luminous Orange masterfully blends genres such as noise rock, dream pop, math rock, Shibuya-kei, and shoegaze, drawing inspiration from 1980s American alternative rock bands like Sonic Youth and the Pixies, as well as British shoegaze pioneers such as My Bloody Valentine.
