Mariachi El Bronx is an innovative musical project originating from Los Angeles, California, that uniquely blends traditional mariachi music with elements of punk rock. Formed in 2006 as the alter ego of the punk band The Bronx, the group comprises members Matt Caughthran (vocals), Joby Ford (guitar, trumpet), Jorma Vik (drums), Brad Magers (bass, trumpet), Ken Mochikoshi Horne (guitar), and Ray Suen (violin, guitar, keyboard), among others. Their music celebrates the lively and spirited essence of mariachi, infused with the energy and attitude of punk, resulting in a vibrant and distinctive sound.
