Gallows is a British hardcore punk band known for their visceral sound and confrontational lyricism. Formed in 2005 in Watford, the original lineup consisted of Frank Carter (vocals), Steph Carter (guitar/vocals), Laurent Barnard (guitars/keys/vocals), Stuart Gili-Ross (bass), and Lee Barratt (drums). In 2011, Frank Carter was replaced by Wade MacNeil, previously of Alexisonfire, bringing a new dimension to their aggressive style. Gallows' music draws heavily from the influences of '80s hardcore pioneers like Black Flag and Minor Threat, channeling a raw energy that resonates with themes of social discontent and rebellion.
