Matchbook Romance is an American rock band originating from Poughkeepsie, New York, celebrated for their emotive blend of alternative rock, emo, screamo, post-hardcore, indie rock, and pop punk. Formed in 1997, the group consists of Andrew Jordan (vocals, guitar), Ryan "Judas" DePaolo (guitar), Ryan Kienle (bass), and Aaron Stern (drums). Initially performing under the name "the Getaway," the band rebranded to Matchbook Romance and quickly captured the attention of the punk scene with their passionate and dynamic sound. Signed to Epitaph Records, they gained widespread recognition with releases like Stories and Alibis and Voices.
