Description

Experience the harmonious blend of vintage charm and modern affordability with the Epiphone Dot Studio, a semi-hollowbody electric guitar that captures the essence of iconic rock and blues sounds. Drawing inspiration from the legendary ES-335, this guitar is a nod to the instruments played by luminaries like Larry Carlton and Dave Grohl. Crafted with a mahogany body and neck, it delivers an exceptional sustain and resonance that will elevate your musical expression.

The Epiphone Dot Studio is designed for those who seek the warm, woody tones that defined the classic rock era. Its semi-hollowbody construction allows for a range of expressive sounds, from the smooth, mellow tones ideal for blues and jazz, to the bright, biting overdrive perfect for rock solos. The inclusion of Alnico Classic humbucking pickups ensures a versatile tonal palette, allowing you to push your sound from clean serenades to full-throttle riffs.

Whether you're a seasoned player or a budding guitarist, the Dot Studio offers a comfortable playing experience with its SlimTaper neck profile, known for its ease of handling. This guitar is not just a tribute to a bygone era; it’s a testament to Epiphone's enduring legacy in crafting high-quality instruments that marry tradition and innovation.

Key Features:

  • Mahogany body and neck for enhanced sustain and warm tones
  • Semi-hollowbody design for a wide range of expressive sounds
  • Alnico Classic humbucking pickups for versatile tone options
  • SlimTaper neck profile for comfortable playability
  • Affordable homage to the classic ES-335 design

Worn Dot Studio Review: The Dot Studio is not only an excellent guitar for the... | Epiphone | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Epiphone Dot Studio is a budget-friendly guitar that impresses with its airy, woody sound and simplicity, making it a standout for blues and jazz enthusiasts. While the minimalistic design—with just two knobs and no fret markers—might not suit everyone's taste, it offers a refreshing, stripped-down aesthetic. The guitar performs well with distortion, adding versatility beyond its semi-hollow body roots. Despite the lack of flashy hardware and a questionable plastic nut, the Dot Studio remains durable and reliable, delivering superb sound quality. Overall, it's a remarkable bargain, appealing to both beginners and seasoned players seeking a reliable, great-sounding instrument.

good guitar with a few issues

It plays great, it looks great (I have the gloss cherry) and for the money, its an overall good guitar, however, it doesn't stay in tune very well, and I also need to up the volume on my amp when I go from one of my fender to playing this, its not as loud for some reason.

Custom pickups and polished finish elevate sound and playability

Replaced the pickups with P90's and polished it so it would have a glossy look. It has a great full sound when you throw a little delay on it. Smooth and fun to play.

My first semi-hollow

I got this thing for christmas one year. It always had wiring problems, though. I left it at an old guitarists house, and he moved with it still in the house.

Great guitar with affordable price

Don't have it anymore, but it is a great guitar with a very smooth playing neck, good caps and act well even with more overdriven sound.

elirocksguitar

I love it!!!

I've been an alternative guy my whole life. I've always wanted to learn some blues and stuff, however, so this was first option for a blues/style guitar, and I'm glad than I chose it.

It’s the first guitar I ever owned. My step-dad gifted it to me for my 15th birthday – I’ve had it for almost 10 years now. I think more than anything, it is nostalgic for me. I’ve grown up with it both as a musician and person – it’s always been there for me like an old friend. The neck has snapped and been repaired a few times but she still plays really well considering what she’s been through – I think it adds character!
