Neuroticfish is a German electronic music project known for its fusion of synthpop, futurepop, EBM (Electronic Body Music), industrial, and darkwave. Founded as the creative outlet of Sascha Mario Klein, who handles music, lyrics, keyboards, and production, the group later included Henning Verlage on keyboards and production. Emerging in the early 1990s, Neuroticfish crafts a unique blend of electronic soundscapes that delve into themes of neurosis, paranoia, and emotional intricacies, drawing inspiration from influential acts like Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, and Depeche Mode.

Neuroticfish's sound is characterized by its harsh, technoid beats and emotionally charged vocal performances. The music often juxtaposes naive pop melodies with aggressive, industrial undertones, creating a dynamic and introspective listening experience. To achieve this sonic duality, Sascha Mario Klein utilizes a mix of software and hardware, including Bitwig Studio and Steinberg Cubase for production. The Roland AIRA SYSTEM-1 and Roland SH-101 synthesizers are instrumental in shaping their sound, offering both vintage and modern synth textures that complement the emotive vocal delivery. This combination results in a sound that is both darkly atmospheric and rhythmically compelling, appealing to fans across alternative dance floors worldwide.
