Emerging from the vibrant underground scene of Essex, England in the early 1990s, the duo quickly became influential figures in the world of breakbeat, jungle, and hardcore techno. Known for their innovative approach to electronic music, Origin Unknown is particularly celebrated for their track "Valley of the Shadows," which has become a staple in the drum and bass community. Their work is closely tied to Ram Recordings, a label co-founded by Andy C, which has played a significant role in shaping the sound of drum and bass.
