Prawn is an emo band originating from Ridgewood, New Jersey, known for their intricate blend of emo, math rock, and alternative emo. Formed in 2007, the group initially consisted of Tony Clark (guitar, vocals), Jamie Houghton (drums), Andrew Vilchez (guitar), and Kyle Burns (bass). Over time, Burns transitioned to guitar and vocals, with Corey Davis and Ryan McKenna stepping in to handle bass and contribute additional instrumentation. Drawing inspiration from '90s Midwest emo bands like American Football and The Promise Ring, Prawn has built a dedicated following through their evocative sound and relentless touring, including notable releases like their debut album You Can Just Leave It All and their sophomore effort Kingfisher.
