About

Pulley is a Southern California punk band known for their energetic fusion of hardcore punk, punk rock, ska punk, skate punk, and melodic hardcore. Formed after vocalist Scott Radinsky left Ten Foot Pole to focus more on music, the original lineup also featured Jordan Burns (drums), Jim Cherry (guitar), Mike Harder (guitar), and Matt Riddle (bass). Over time, the band has seen some lineup changes, with Tyler Rebbe joining on bass after Riddle's departure. Pulley has made a significant impact in the punk scene with their dynamic sound and resonant lyrics.

How to Sound Like Pulley

Pulley's sound is characterized by aggressive yet melodic guitar riffs and punchy, fast-paced rhythms that embody the raw energy of skate punk. The guitars often employ a mix of crunchy distortion and melodic undertones, utilizing instruments like the Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar to deliver their powerful sound. The bass, played through rigs like the Mesa/Boogie M-2000 Head and Mesa/Boogie 2x15 Road Ready Bass Cabinet, adds a driving force with its deep, resonant tones. The rhythm section is further energized by the tight, dynamic drumming of Jordan Burns, ensuring each track maintains its relentless pace. Pulley's music thrives on its high-energy delivery and the harmonious blend of melody and intensity, making it a staple in the punk genre.
