Radio Moscow is a dynamic blues-rock trio hailing from Ames, Iowa, known for their electrifying fusion of psychedelic rock, garage rock, and modern blues. The band was initially formed in 2004 as a collaboration between Parker Griggs (vocals, guitar, drums) and bassist Luke McDuff. Over the years, they evolved into a power trio with the addition of Anthony Meier (bass) and Paul Marrone (drums). Their sound is reminiscent of the late '60s power trios like Cream, yet infused with a muscular, stoner rock edge, drawing comparisons to bands such as Blue Cheer and The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Radio Moscow's sonic character is a vibrant blend of gritty, fuzz-laden guitar tones and raw, heavy grooves. Their music thrives on a dirty and aggressive vibe, with Griggs' guitar work often employing thick overdrive and psychedelic effects. The Big Joe Stomp Box Company R-403 Vintage Overdrive and Cat’s-Eye Hybrid Fuzz are pivotal in achieving their dense, saturated sound. Griggs' use of the Danelectro DF-1 Psycho Flange adds a swirling, spacey texture, enhancing the band's neo-psychedelic edge. Coupled with driving bass lines and powerful drumming, Radio Moscow crafts a soundscape that's both nostalgic and thrillingly modern, making their music an intense ride through rock's heaviest corridors.
