RIZE is a dynamic Japanese band that fuses elements of rap metal, melodic hardcore, and J-rock to create a high-energy, genre-blending sound. Formed in 1997, the group was initially led by Jesse (vocals, guitar), the son of renowned guitarist Char, alongside Nobuaki Kaneko (drums). Over the years, RIZE has seen several lineup changes, with members such as Tokie (bass) and KenKen (bass) contributing to the band's evolution. Known for their explosive live performances and ability to incorporate diverse musical influences, RIZE has maintained a strong presence in the Japanese rock scene.

RIZE's sound is characterized by aggressive riffs and rhythmic intensity, creating a compelling fusion of rap and rock elements. The band's music often features crunchy guitar tones and punchy bass lines, the latter bolstered by instruments like the Atelier Z BK-4 and Atelier Z Beta4 Custom basses, used by KenKen. Their sonic palette is further enhanced by powerful, driving drum patterns and dynamic vocal delivery, which merge to deliver a robust and energetic auditory experience. Amplification and clarity are provided by equipment such as the TC Electronic Blacksmith and TC Electronic RS410, ensuring that their sound remains both intense and articulate.
