Salad is an English band originating from London, known for their distinctive blend of Britpop and Madchester sounds. Initially formed in 1992, the group consists of Marijne van der Vlugt (vocals), Paul Kennedy (guitar), Pete Brown (bass), Rob Wakeman (drums), and later joined by Charley Stone (guitar). Salad's music gained traction in the mid-'90s with their critically acclaimed debut album Drink Me and its follow-up Ice Cream, both of which solidified their presence in the Britpop scene alongside acts like Blur.
