Tarot is a Finnish metal band known for their blend of speed, power, and symphonic metal elements, captivating fans with their dynamic soundscapes and intricate compositions. Formed in the early 1980s, the group was spearheaded by brothers Marco Hietala (vocals, bass) and Zachary Hietala (guitar). With a lineup that includes Janne Tolsa (keyboards), Pecu Cinnari (drums), and formerly Tommi "Tuple" Salmela (vocals), Tarot has become a staple in the heavy metal scene, merging traditional Finnish rock influences with a heavy metal foundation.

Tarot's sound is sculpted by aggressive, melodic guitar riffs and powerful, commanding vocals, often underpinned by Marco Hietala's rich bass tones. His use of the Warwick Vampyre NT and Warwick Infinity Masterbuilt basses, combined with the Tech 21 Sansamp PSA1.1, creates a dense, driving low end that supports the band's intricate arrangements. Janne Tolsa's keyboards, including the Korg Triton Extreme, add a symphonic layer to the music, enhancing Tarot's dramatic and expansive sound.
