The Bomboras are a Los Angeles-based musical group that emerged as a prominent force in the 1990s surf rock revival. Known for their energetic and theatrical performances, the band was formed in 1994 and initially included members from two separate groups: Jake Cavaliere (organ), Gregg Hunt (guitar), Dave Klein (drums)—all previously from the Finks—and Pam Moore (bass) and Gina Brune (guitar). Over time, Andy Rasmussen joined on bass after Moore and Brune departed. The Bomboras are celebrated for their unique blend of garage rock, surf rock, rockabilly, and psychobilly, with influences from exotica and horror punk, creating an intoxicating and fast-paced instrumental sound.
