About
Voodoo Glow Skulls are a dynamic fusion of punk rock and ska, originating from Riverside, California. Formed in 1988 by brothers Eddie (guitar), Jorge (bass), and Frank Casillas (vocals), along with childhood friend Jerry O'Neill (drums), the band expanded in 1991 to include a vibrant horn section featuring saxophone, trombone, and trumpet. This eclectic ensemble blends punk, ska, and Mexican ska influences, creating an energetic soundscape that has resonated through albums like Who Is? This Is? and Firme. Over the years, Voodoo Glow Skulls have become a staple in the ska punk scene, known for their high-octane performances and bilingual offerings, such as their Spanish- and English-language versions of Firme.
